World record! Ugandan woman gives birth to 38 children! STORY HIGHLIGHTS She was married off aged 12. The woman (circled) with her children A 37-year-old Ugandan woman, living in Kabimbiri village, Mukono District, outside of Kampala, has made a world record for having 38 children. According to the Daily Monitor of Uganda, the woman identified as Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye had her last baby via Caesarian section in December 2016, after which doctors cut her uterus from inside. She’s had six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, three sets of quadruplets and single births. Ten of these are girls and the rest are boys. The oldest is 23 years old while the youngest is four months. The Monitor said she was married at the age of 12 in 1993, to a man who was 40 years old. ‘I did not know I was being married off. People came home and brought things for my father. When time came for them to leave, I thought I was escorting my aunt but when I got there, she gave me away to the man.’ ...

She was aged 42. Late Moji Olaiya Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi was filled with people from all works of life, today, June 7, 2017, as colleagues, friends and family of the late actress, Moji Olaiya gathered in her honour. Her body had arrived Muritala Mohammed airport in Lagos from Canada on Tuesday and has now been buried at the Ikoyi cemetery according to Islamic rites. Moji’s body being brought into the cemetery Six men dressed in black kaftan carried her remains which was wrapped in a white cloth and placed in a wooden see-through box. Six men in black kaftan carried her remains into the cemetery. Her body was met by mourners who filled the hall to capacity and wailed as they saw her coffin arrive. The mourners present exclaimed Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return) as her body was brought in amidst tears.         Dear Sir, CHARTER OF DEMANDS IN VIEW OF WORRISOME DEVELOPMENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN We, from the University of Ibadan Students’ Union, hereby write to your estimable office with the hope of bringing to your attention and appealing for your intervention with respect to the administrative quagmire presently besetting us as an institution. On the 29th day of May, 2017, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka, unilaterally declared by midday that all undergraduate students were to vacate the premises before 6pm on the same day. This declaration, which not only contravenes the university regulations but is also at loggerheads with the legal principle of “reasonable notice”, is similar to another of the Vice Chancellor that took place on the 26th of April, 2016, where he ordered students to vacate before 4pm. The Students union government of the University of Ibadan Subscribe Contrary to the announcement made by their vice chancellor  Professor Idowu Olayinka on Tuesday, that the Students Union of the institution has been proscribed indefinitely, the Students Union President of the university, Comrade Aderemi Ojo has said that the union remains intact. Ojo made this declaration while addressing a joint press conference organized by the union’s executive council and the Students Representative Council of the institution on Thursday in Ibadan. Ojo who was flanked by Secretary of the union, Comrade Uchechukwu Augustine and Speaker of the SRC Comrade Ibrahim Asiwaju said it was wrong for the Vice Chancellor to make such statement without Senate approval which he said was against the university regulations.
